As a young baby, Tyler developed severe eczema and screamed almost all day every day. We knew something was causing this, but we did not know what. He was exclusively breastfed, and the doctors told us that he could not be allergic to the breastmilk. Well, they were wrong and at about 7 months of age we gave him plain yogurt for the first time and watched him experience his first full blown allergic reaction to dairy. A few months later we discovered he is also allergic to eggs, beef and peanuts, and our lives were forever changed. We cannot just order take out, go out to dinner or even out for ice cream as a family to celebrate a special moment, we cannot just pick up and go away without knowing where and how we will feed him. Everything we do takes planning to ensure that he will be safe. He has been bullied in school, threatened with foods he is allergic to and been excluded from things due to his allergies. Despite all of this he is one of the most kind and empathetic kids you could ever meet. He wants to make a difference in the food allergy community so each year we fundraise for FARE. We hope you would consider making a donation to help support this worthy cause. We will be doing a small family and friends walk on Saturday November 6th at 10:30 am at Monmouth Battlefield state park if you would like to join us. Thank you!
Every three minutes, a food allergy reaction sends someone to the emergency room in the U.S. A life-altering and potentially life-threatening disease, food allergy affects 32 million Americans.
Right now, there is no treatment or cure for food allergy... but there is HOPE.
That's why I'm raising funds for FARE to help them fulfill their mission to improve the quality of life and the health of individuals with food allergies, and to provide them hope through the promise of new treatments. Here’s how you can help:
DONATE NOW! My goal is to raise as much money as possible in honor of the 32 million Americans with food allergies. Any amount helps, and when you donate, you help FARE to fund food allergy education programs, advocacy and awareness initiatives, and world-class research. Together, we can create a better future for all who are affected by food allergies!
