Every three minutes, a food allergy reaction sends someone to the emergency room in the U.S. A life-altering and potentially life-threatening disease, food allergy affects 32 million Americans.
Right now, there is no treatment or cure for food allergy... but there is HOPE.
My name is Suhani Jain, and my nut-allergy has limited me and made me feel isolated from my peers, my culture, and the world around me. In outings to restaurants or family gatherings, I always have to go the extra mile to make sure what I eat will be safe. I can not have a casual interaction with food because of the constant fear of an allergic reaction. Not only is it anxiety-inducing for me, it is inconvenient and sometimes nearly impossible for those around me to properly prepare my food. The minute I come into contact with nuts, my allergies flare-up, and my stomach drops, preparing for the worst. I can never be sure I’m totally in the clear because there is no consistently accessible and affordable treatment available for my allergies.
That's why I'm raising money for FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) to help them fulfill their mission to improve the quality of life and the health of individuals with food allergies, and to provide them hope through the promise of new treatments.
My goal is to raise funds in honor of the 32 million Americans with food allergies. Any amount helps, and when you donate, you help FARE to fund food allergy education programs, advocacy and awareness initiatives, and world-class research. Together, we can create a better future for all who are affected by food allergies!
I am so appreciative and grateful for my family and friends who continue to keep me safe and healthy and I hope to provide this same support to others nationwide. A huge thank you to all of you who are helping me in this journey by donating and sharing this page for a cause that is very close to my heart!
