As many of you know, our 9 year old son, Chase has life-threatening food allergies. Earlier this month, he fought for his life for the 11th time. Chase will not outgrow his allergies and our only hope for a more carefree life is for science to catch-up. The Food Allergy Research and Education Organization (FARE) has been our family's greatest resource for support and understanding the disease better. I now serve on their advocacy board improving awareness, advocating nationally for better legislation, and helping to gain funding for a wide variety of needs.

We are hopeful that you will join in our excitement for the 'Giving Food Allergies A FARE Chase' digital fundraiser honoring our little man. All of your gracious contributions will help FARE to fund food allergy education programs, advocacy and awareness initiatives, and world-class research to better support the 32 million Americans living with life-altering and potentially life-threatening food allergies.

Our family's particular focus is to bring awareness of the psychological effects and stress that food allergies have on children and their families. It is relentlessly stress inducing to have to think about every bite of every meal, every day. A SINGLE MISTAKE can cause severe illness, or even death. There are no approved treatments to prevent reactions. This stress TAKES A TOLL on mental and emotional health.
