As an 18-month-old, Izzy was rushed to the emergency room, which began his journey to discovering he has severe food allergies peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame.
Izzy has spent his entire life being careful about what he eats, reading every ingredient label, carrying epinephrine emergency medication, and educating others about what it means to have severe food allergies.
People are often surprised to learn that every 3 minutes, a food allergy reaction sends someone to the E.R. in the United States. Food allergies can be life-threatening, and the disease impacts 32 million Americans!
Right now, there is no cure for food allergies... but there is HOPE.
That's why Izzy has chosen to raise money for FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education), which continues to provide critical support to families even while weathering a worldwide pandemic! Here’s how you can help:
DONATE NOW! Izzy's Mitzvah Project goal is to raise as much as possible in honor of the 5.6 million children under age 18 with food allergies. That's one in 13 children, or about two in every classroom!
Any amount helps, and when you donate, you help FARE to fund food allergy education programs, advocacy and awareness initiatives, and world-class research. Together, we can create a better future for all who are affected by food allergies!

Thank you so much for everyone's love and support!
P.S. If you prefer to donate by check, correspondence can be mailed directly to FARE's National Headquarters, with “Izzy Gottfried’s TeamFARE” in the memo section of the check: FARE, 7901 Jones Branch Drive, Suite 240, McLean, VA 22102.
